Join us for an evening of culture, history, and storytelling with Humanities Nebraska speaker Jerome Kills Small, an Oglala Lakota educator, performer, and storyteller from the Pine Ridge Reservation. In "Songs and Dances of the Lakota," Kills Small will share the rich history, meanings, and origins behind traditional Lakota songs and dances—including ceremonial, powwow, round dance, and warrior songs.
With decades of experience as a university instructor, storyteller, and cultural interpreter, Kills Small brings deep knowledge and powerful presence to this engaging presentation.
This free event is part of the Humanities Nebraska Speakers Bureau and is open to all.
